A study was released In November of 2008, ranking California 8th overall in the country for its ability to adapt in the technology-based economy of the 21st century. Titled “The 2008 State New Economy Index,” the research is a joint effort between the Ewing Marion Kauffman Foundation and the Information Technology and Innovation Foundation.
