Business Development Committee

The committee serves as a network to identify companies interested in investing in or expanding within the region, and provides any necessary resources to ensure a more seamless transition. The group also oversees EDC’s lead generation program, and provides input on EDC’s national media relations campaign.

The committee creates solutions in two priority areas for the San Diego region - the acute workforce shortages within high-wage, high-growth industries, and the entry-level and mid-career development needed for our innovation economy.

Preschool Task Force 

The task force creates data-driven recommendations on access and quality improvements to area schools, convenes presentations for companies, trade associations and business groups about preschool issues, and educates local policy makers about the importance of quality preschool programs from the business community’s perspective. The task force also collaborates with similar groups throughout the state to provide a unified message about the importance of quality preschool.
