Advancing San Diego is a collaborative effort to align economic development, workforce development, and education systems around a common set of goals: increase completions of degrees and credentials for high demand jobs, and provide pathways to placements in those jobs for San Diegans, placing particular focus on our African American and Hispanic populations. The Advancing San Diego initiative will contribute towards a regional goal to double the annual production of skilled workers in San Diego County to 20,000 by 2030. With a recent generous contribution from JPMorgan Chase Foundation of $3M over three years, the Foundation will steward these funds to launch Advancing San Diego.
